Hero Women Rising

In the Democratic Republic of Congo, “the population is 80 million people - and only 3% are connected to the internet. And those that are connected…are men.” This is how this animated documentary project for Google Brand Studio begins, through the voice of the incredible activist Neema Namadamu, working to provide opportunity and education to the women of the Democratic Republic of Congo and open up opportunities to the millions of women and girls living there. This film was part of a social and editorial campaign that was created to celebrate International Women’s Day globally for Google.
