Airbnb Product Stories
Airbnb established a modular production model for film and editorial storytelling between 2015 - 2020. The preproduction process involved several considerations, including different edits for in-product and out-of-product versions, as well as photographic and behind-the-scene moments for social campaigns.
In 2018, the Airbnb Experiences in-app flow was redesigned to incorporate immersive video. We experimented with a more guest-focused POV, whereas previously most content was host-focused. The Utah’s Zion National Park led to a fresh style that eventually led to the insights for the Airbnb Adventures launch creative.
